Thai duo lose in quarters

Thailand's mixed doubles pair of Sudket Prapakamol and Saralee Thungthongkam suffered a 21-18 21-11 defeat to arch-rivals Xie Zhongbo and Zhang Yawen of China in the quarter-finals of the Korea Open Super Series yesterday.

The Chinese world No-3 duo advanced to face South Korea's up-and-coming Lee Yong-dae and Lee Hyo-jung, who upset Thomas Laybourn and Kamilla Rytter Juhl of Denmark 21-17 21-16.
