The Stock Exhange of Thailand found irregularity in the share price movement of Chai Wattana Tannery between late 2004 and early 2005.
Cabinet picks
The Cabinet yesterday approved the appointment of seven members of the energy business regulatory board.
They are Chalit Ruangviset; Noppadol Manthajit, former director-general of the Mineral Fuels Department, who will be in charge of natural gas; Direk Lawansiri, dean of Chulalongkorn University's Faculty of Engineering; Panlapha Ruangrong, an official of the State Enterprise Policy Office, for economics and energy management; and Small and Medium Enterprise Development Bank chief finance officer Chongchet Boonkerd.
The others are Thaksin Limsuwan, former assistant governor of Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand; and Supichai Tangchaitrong, deputy director of Environmental Research Institute, Chulalongkorn University.
IRPC board IRPC chairman Mongkol Ampornpisit and the 15-member board yesterday surprised shareholders with a decision to resign en masse.
It was found out later that the resignations were to pave the way for open comments on the management from 25 shareholders who questionedthe board about pending conflicts with former shareholder and executive Prachai Leophairatana.
They were reinstated to the board positions.
