The time to pay respect

Members of the public can pay their respects to HRH Princess Galyani Vadhana at the Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall from 9am to 4pm every day except Wednesday, when the opening hours are between 2pm and 4pm only.

The Royal Household Bureau yesterday explained that royal merit making ceremonies would take place every Wednesday at the throne hall and the opening times for the public would be limited to just two hours.

The beloved Princess passed away at the age of 84 on January 2. As the sister of HM the King and a great contributor to society, her passing has left the whole country in mourning. Black- and white-clad mourners have crowded the throne hall, where the Princess's body rests, every day.

High-profile figures such as the permanent secretary for Defence, General Winai Pattiyakul, and his deputy, General Saprang Kalayanamitr, have been among the mourners.
