Kriengkrai said an area to build a royal urn from aloewood trees would be set aside first.

Three aloewood trees that died of natural causes in Kui Buri National Park, Prachuap Khiri Khan, were felled yesterday after being blessed by royal astrologers. The trees will be transported to Bangkok next week.

The elder sister of His Majesty the King passed away on January 2, aged 84.

Every day crowds attend Dusit Maha Prasart Throne Hall at the Grand Palace to pay respects.

Yesterday, more than 13,000 people attended and donated more than Bt700,000 to the Royal Household Bureau. The money will go to the Princess's charitable funds.

Up until yesterday, more than 176,500 people had paid respects to the Princess and donated almost Bt11 million.
