PIPELINE RENTAL FEE
PTT's base gas revenue likely to be Bt4.5 bn
The Finance Ministry's committee, tasked to settle the natural gas pipeline rentals, is likely to revise down PTT's base gas revenue from Bt5.7 billion to Bt4.5 billion per annum, said a source at the ministry.
The source noted that opinions differ on the base revenue, as PTT insisted that its annual revneue would be Bt3.6 billion on average during the 30-year lease while the ministry sets the figure at Bt5.7 billion.
The committee proposed to set the rental fee at 10 per cent of the revenue.
Satit Limpongphun, deputy permanent secretary of the ministry, said that the issue would not be submitted to the Cabinet for approval at tomorrow's meeting. He insisted that though it would be delayed, this issue should be finalised before the interim government leaves office.
