Designing sisters Penpunnee and Kesinee Horrungrueng think they have some cool things to offer when it comes to pens, markers notebooks, organisers, binders and other stationery. With a long-time passion for stationery, Penpunnee, 34, teamed up with her sister to open Goose in Siam Square four months ago. The store contains a unique collection of colourful writing materials in smart-minimalist style. The products are mostly made of fine paper and soft fabric imported from North America, Holland and France.

"I love bookbinding and stationery. I have collected plenty of beautiful papers that I bought during my journey in many countries," says Penpunnee. "We use fine fabrics from North America and Europe, because they have a good quality and a tight surface."

At the heart of Goose's design is a marriage of function and design. Most products come in simple patterns, there are also some collections featuring graphic designs. They come in the shades of pink, sky blue, orange, red, green, purple, brown, grey and white. The products include scrapbooks, photo albums, notebooks, organisers, files, binders, stationery, storage boxes and magic markers.

"Our target market is shoppers who love products with cool designs. We want to produce more than ordinary supplies, so our creations focus on function and smart designs. Some items can be turned into innovative decor items and gifts," says Penpunnee

Beyond the sister's own innovative creations, Goose imports Acme Studio's collections of attractive pens featuring designs by such people as architect Frank Lloyd Wright, as well as designers Todd Falkowsky, Rod Dyer and Jerry Leibowitz.

Goose also has a selection of antique brass seals, imported from the US, featuring animals, flowers, messages and symbols. Goose encourages shoppers to show off their imaginations with cute stickers for scrapbooks imported from Canada. Also available are leather storage boxes and pretty dolls imported from France as well as a line of beautiful wrapping papers featuring graphic designs from the US.

Goose is also opening a new branch on Siam Discovery Centre soon.
