"If the EC is unable to completely validate the outcome, it will today set a timetable for the completion of its review on the balloting results," he said.

Whatever the EC decides between two options - complete or partial endorsement, it is scheduled to announce its decision later this afternoon, he added.

EC secretary general Suthiphon Thaveechaigarn said the EC has yet to fill 25 seats to reach the 95 per cent requirement for Parliament to convene.

In the latest batch of electoral fraud cases, the EC is scheduled today to complete nine cases, seven of which were probed by the Special Branch officers and two by EC investigators, he said.
