Kosit denies graft allegation

Deputy Prime Minister and Industry Minister Kosit Panpiemras refuted allegations he used his power to approve a new production licence for Padaeng Industry

He denied a newspaper report he had been contacted by the National Counter Corruption Commission but said he was willing to meet with the agency to prove his innocence.

Padaeng has yet to get a new licence to continue zinc-mining operations. The Primary Industries and

Mines Department must verify all of the company's documents.

"I confirm I have yet to see or sign any document to approve Padaeng's production licence," Kosit said.
