THAI cuts flights to Lahore to 5 a week

Thai Airways International yesterday reduced its service to Lahore, Pakistan, in light of passenger demand.

Published on January 16, 2008

Pandit Chanapai, executive vice president for commercial affairs, said flight frequency between Bangkok and Lahore had been temporarily reduced from seven to five flights per week.

The move was based on the airline's policy to cut capacity according to demand for the most feasible route results and, where appropriate, increase flights on more profitable routes based on traffic demand.

THAI still operates four flights to Karachi and three flights to Islamabad per week, as occupancy on Pakistan routes remains strong with an average 75-per-cent cabin factor.
