In observance of the period of mourning for Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana, His Majesty the King's sister, who died on January 2 at the age of 84. The Palace is observing a 100-day mourning period, and the Cabinet has requested the cooperation of government agencies and entertainment venues to suspend merry-making activities for 15 days, until January 16.
The Thailand Cultural Centre will keep its curtains closed for 100 days until April 11. Many events have been cancelled or postponed during this period of mourning. Among them, the Soontarapon 98 Concert, scheduled for January 27 and "The Magical Feng Shui Talk Show..Aur See You" by Suparat Thamasuriya are cancelled. Khon Ramakian's "Tao-Maleewaraj" by Fine Art Department scheduled for February 1 is postponed to November 1.

Colour Your Life

Danish jazz vocalist Benni Chawes and his band have postponed their Bangkok debut show from January 21 until sometime in May. The show is part of the Colour Your Life European Jazz series. Chawes will be promoting his latest album, "Up Close".
Accompanying him will be Danish pianist Jacob Christoffersen and Swedish trumpet player Anders Bergcrantz.

The Diary of Carabao

Originally set for tomorrow, songs-for-lifers Carabao has recheduled its outdoor concert until next month. The Diary of Carabao Concert will take you from the band's first album to their latest one. The concert runs from 5pm to midnight. Gates open from 3pm.
