Henin moves to within a win of another Sydney title

Sydney (dpa) - Justine Henin reached the final of the Medibank International Thursday when she scored her 27th-straight victory with a 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 win over Serb fourth seed Ana Ivanovic.

Henin, Belgium's world number one, has not lost a match since Wimbledon last summer. The win put her into a 56th WTA final, where she faces the winner from a match between second-seeded Svetlana Kuznetsova of Russia or unseeded Czech Nicole Vaidisova.

Henin, who missed the Australian swing a year ago because of personal problems, owns two Sydney trophies from 2004 and 2006, but her performance in the semi-final was marginal with 10 double-faults and 16 unforced errors.

"It's great to be back in a final here," Henin said. "I'm excited about trying to win a third title."

Henin improved to 4-0 in her career series with Ivanovic.
