
After signing the extension, the Dutch veteran said that he wanted "to enjoy every day in this club" and repay Real for the faith in him "with good football and goals."
Van Nistelrooy, 31, was Liga top scorer - and Real's most important player - last season with 26 goals, and has already scored nine in the league this season.
He joined Real in 2006 from Manchester United, after falling out with Alex Ferguson.
