Bhichit's resigning from party is normal : Chetta

Ruam Jai Thai Chart Pattana Party leader Gen Chetta Thanajaro denied that former Bangkok governor Bhichit Rattakul left the party in protest against the party's decision to join the People Power Party to form government.

Chetta said leaving and joining or changing party is normal in democracy. He refused to anwer if his party would change its stance in light of MP disqualifications and dissolution of the PPP.

"No one can answer. It is still uncertain,'' he said.

Chetta expressed concern that the delay in forming government will hurt the country's economy.

He allayed fear that the two political issues would complicate the move by the PPP to form government. "It should not be any problems. Who got the the most seats has the right to form government first,'' he said.
