MAI targets to increase the listed companies by 12 to 15 in 2008.

Market for Alternative Investment (MAI) targets to increase the number of registered companies by 12 to 15 companies this year, according to Chanit Charnchainarong, President of MAI.

Chanit said Thursday that MAI expected that this year an addition of 12 to 15 companies with combined capital value of around Bt6 billion to Bt8 billion would enter the market. If the listed companies continuously grow as expected, it is expected that the market value of these securities as of the end of 2008 would be around Bt60 billion.

DIMET will be the first new entry of the year when the company is listed on MAI on 21 January.
