Yongyuth testifies over vote-buying allegations

People Power Party party list candidate Yongyuth Tiyapairat will today testify with the Election Commission against vote-buying allegations, Election Commissioner Sumeth Upanisakorn said.

Sumeth dismissed speculations that the EC had been lobbied hard not to disqualify Yongyuth.

A blanket of security has been thrown around the EC office compound following reports that Yongyuth's supporters from the northern provinces will show up to offer him moral support.
