DTV sales reach 100,000

Shin Broadband Internet (Thailand) (SBI), a subsidiary of Shin Satellite, has sold more than 100,000 units of DTV, a low-cost satellite-dish set consisting of a Ku-band satellite dish and set-top box.

SBI launched its DTV service last June.

"We're delighted that DTV has reached more than 100,000 units of sales, which has exceeded our initial targets," said SBI general manager Tanadit Charoenchan. "We must give credit to our dealers and the SBI team, since DTV is a new product that was just introduced into the market seven months ago."

DTV is able to receive free-to-air television programmes with no monthly fees under the concept of "An Affordable Satellite TV Dish for Every Home". The satellite dish can be easily installed by a technician and is available nationwide.
