Kiefer ready to play Olympic doubles with Haas

Hamburg (dpa) - Germany's leading tennis players Nicolas Kiefer and Tommy Haas are in talks over forming a doubles partnership at the Beijing Olympics in August.

"Doubles offers the biggest chance to achieve something in Beijing. I would like to compete with Tommy Haas," Kiefer told several German newspapers on the weekend.

Haas and Kiefer are rivals rather than friends, but Kiefer said that they have discussed the issue and will do so again at the Australian Open which start on January 14.

"I foresee no major problems," said Kiefer, who won doubles silver 2004 in Athens with Rainer Schuettler.
