calls rise for Buri Ram Governor's transfer

Buri Ram's constituency 3 former Democrat Party candidate Chaiwat Sinsuwong called for the transfer of Buri Ram Governor Santhad Chatuchai for failure to control political situation in the province.

Chaiwat said Santhad isolated his deputy, Kasem Wattanatham who chairs Buri Ram Provincial Election Commission and Buri Ram deputy police chief Colonel Sangworn Poopaijitkul who carried out their duty in a straightforward manner.

Chaiwat said Santhad must be replaced with the new governor who can control local government officials, kamnans and village heads to be political neutral and not to support influential politicians.

He said the two witnesses who gave statements about electoral frauds have been missing and rumours had it that they were taken to Kanchaburi. "This is a show of killing chickens to scare monkeys. No one now dares to be a witness,'' he said.
