Germans believe in Euro 2008 success

Hamburg (dpa) - Germans are upbeat that their national football team can win the Euro 2008 tournament in June, according to a poll.



Focus news magazine said in a report made available to Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa ahead of Monday's publication that 58 per cent believe that Joachim Loew's team can lift the Euro-trophy a fourth time.

 The poll among 1,000 Germans was conducted by polis/USUMA. Euro 2008 takes place June 7-29 in Austria and Switzerland, with Germany drawn to play Croatia, Poland and Austria in the group stage.
