The event at the JW Marriott Hotel's New York Steak House was a lavish dinner party with all the pizzazz of the Big Apple.
On hand with a history of the whisky was the brand's regional director, Peter Prentice.
"Chivas was always in great demand in high society," he said. "The reputation became legendary in 1843 when Her Majesty Queen Victoria appointed the Chivas brothers as suppliers to her estate at Balmoral. In 1909 the word 'Regal' was added to the name for the first time, describing the whisky as nothing less than the king of whisky."
The Bangkok launch attracted a cross-section of hi-so denizens, including Chaikhiri Srifuengfung and Jet Sophitphongsathorn of Horseshoe Point, Crafactor designer Ekkarat Wongjarit, VasLab architect Wasu Wiratsilp and Glam Lifestyle director Chanadda Chirathivat.
Much like the talents shared among this crowd, the Chivas blend demands expertise, time and passion.
"It's been a great privilege to create Chivas Regal 25 Years Old," said Chivas Regal master blender Colin Scott, "because we do have our dreams, and for me, this is a dream come true."
