Getting physical in the park

The northeastern province is hosting the Mekong Adventure Challenge from January 25 to 27 and local and international weekend warriors are invited to compete in the tough races. The venue is Chanadai Cliff in Khong Chiam district, and the race is a mix of mountain biking, long-distance cycling, kayaking and rock climbing.

Part of Pha Taem National Park, Chanadai Cliff overlooks the Mekong River. The sandstone mountains and scenic landscape make the park ideal for outdoor activities including hiking, mountain biking and camping.
