Matt Parkman (Greg Grunberg) is a Los Angeles police officer with the ability to hear other people's thoughts. Isaac Mendez (Santiago Cabrera) is a New York artist who can "paint" future events during precognitive trances. Claire Bennet (Hayden Panettiere) is a high school cheerleader with strange regenerative powers. Meanwhile, Nathan Petrelli (Adrian Pasdar) is a New York Congressional candidate who fears his ability of self-propelled flight could destroy his career, while his brother Peter Petrelli (Milo Ventimiglia), a former hospice nurse, struggles with his empathic power to absorb the characteristics of people close by. And the hopelessly optimistic Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka) is a programmer from Tokyo with the ability to manipulate the space-time continuum. Hiro is the linchpin who believes he can bring together this bunch to change the future. Created by Tim Kring, the series may remind some viewers of "X-Men" but it's a lot more grounded in the everyday and doesn't take itself too seriously.
The Disc: Apart from the 13 episodes in season one, the seven-disc set comes with 50 deleted scenes scattered across discs two through seven, the "making of", a behind-the-scenes look including concept and casting, plus interviews with the director and most of the main cast. A special feature that's well worth watching is "Profile of Artist Tim Sale", a celebrated comic book creator who was in charge of conceptualising the visual look of the show's protagonists.
Audio languages are English and Thai with subtitle options of English, Mandarin and Thai. The cover price is Bt1,299 and the box set is in stores now for between Bt1,000 and Bt1,220.
The Invasion
The Story: The mysterious crash of the space shuttle leads to the terrifying discovery that there is something alien within the wreckage. Those who come in contact with it are changing in ominous and inexplicable ways. Soon, Washington psychiatrist Carol Bennell (Nicole Kidman) and her friend Dr Ben Driscoll (Daniel Craig) learn the shocking truth about the growing extraterrestrial epidemic: victims are attacked while they sleep, leaving them physically unchanged but strangely unfeeling and inhuman. As the infection spreads, more and more people are altered and it becomes impossible to know who can be trusted. Now Bennell's only hope is to stay awake long enough to find her young son, who may hold the key to stopping the devastating invasion.
The Disc: Two versions are available, a one-disc set with basic special features and a two-disc set that includes three special featurettes: a documentary, "We've Been Snatched Before: Invasion In Media History", "The Invasion: A New Story" and "The Invasion: Snatched". Subtitles options are English, Chinese, Korean, Bahasa and Thai. Buyers receive a thermal mug as a special gift with the two-disc set.
The cover price of the one-disc version is Bt499 and it's selling for between Bt320 and Bt420. The two-disc version has a Bt799 cover price and retails for between Bt620 and Bt720.
