EXIM appoints new CFO

Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Thailand) appointed Somphan Eamrungroj, Senior Executive Vice President, as the Bank's new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) overseeing treasury, accounting, banking operations and credit analysis.



The bank also assigned Viroth Chokevivattana, first vice president of Information Technology Department, to be responsible for information technology system development in line with the bank's new business strategies.

The appointments became effective on January 1, 2008, EXIM said in a statement.

Somphan earned a Bachelor of Accountancy specializing in Accounting Theory from Chulalongkorn University and a Master of Management from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, USA. He joined EXIM Thailand as executive vice president in 1994 and became the SEVP in 2000.

Viroth holds a bachelor of science from Kasetsart University and a Master of Science in Applied Statistics from National Institute of Development Administration. He has work experience in internal auditing at PricewaterhouseCoopers Thailand. He held executive positions at Samart Corporation Public Company Limited and later on at Samart Comtech Company Ltd. Before joining EXIM Thailand on January 1, 2008, he was deputy director of Fujitsu Systems Business (Thailand) Ltd.
