STEC wins Bt609 mn project

Sino-Thai Engineering & Construction Plc yesterday informed the Stock Exchange of Thailand that the company has signed a contract with Siam Polyethylene Co Ltd to construct the second polyethylene train project with total value of Bt609 million.



Woraphant Chontong, senior executive vice president of financial and administration division of the company, said that the contract covers two sub-construction works. The works are for the civil work and reinforcement of concrete structure of 10,000 cubic metre and the construction of mechanical work.

The framework of the latter comprises 2,600 tonnes of steel structure fabrication and installation, piping installation and furnishing equipment 1,700 tonnes that necessary to construct the work. The contract value of the civil work is Bt171 million while the value for mechanical work is Bt438 million.

The works are scheduled to complete in January and April, respectively.
