DAAD demands for a review of red cards in Buri Ram

A group of 20 protesters held a rally on Wednesday in front of the Election Commission's office, a move seen as applying pressure for the EC to cancel the three red cards against the People Power Party candidates in Buri Ram.

The rally, organised by the Democratic Alliance against Dictatorship, issued four demands - the just review on electoral fraud, the allowance for defence rebutalls relating to the red cards, the retraction of remarks made by EC member Sodsri Satayathum who threatened to stop working in order to foil the coalition formation and a stop in the junta's political meddling.

Meanwhile, the EC has requested Buri Ram police to beef up security after the chairman of the provincial electoral office received a death threat following the issuing of red cards.
