"This latest deal demonstrates our continuing involvement in high-profile aircraft finance projects in Asia, both in terms of commercial lending transactions and Japanese operating lease transactions handled from our Bangkok, Hong Kong and Tokyo offices," said Clifford Chance partner Fergus Evans. "We also act for a number of operating lessors across the region."

The transaction completes a successful year for the firm's Asian aircraft finance practice, having advised on financing for Cathay Pacific, Tiger, Oasis and Thai Airways and Japanese operating leases in British Airways, China Southern, Ryanair, SAS and Turkish Airlines.

The team also completed operating lessor work for Air Europa, Frontier, Japan Airlines, Skymark and Brazil's TAM Linhas Aereas.
