Still looking for a New Year's gift for your friends or loved ones? Check out i-Frame in JJ Mall. The store contains an attractive line of creative wooden photograph frames that are great gifts for any occasion. For more than 30 years, Laem Chabang Industry has produced a wide range of wooden photograph frames in modern, funky and classic styles under the brands Corbel and i-Frame. It recently launched the Suf Frame collection of cute picture frames at the 2007 Bangkok International Gift and Houseware Fair (BIG+BIH). Suf Frame frames are widely known, and their frames are exported to European countries such as Spain and Germany, as well as Japan and Korea, Malaysia and Bahrain.
At the heart of Suf's product line is a marriage of function and attractive design. The wooden frames are inspired by all kinds of desserts and baked goods, such as chocolate, cakes, lollipops, sandwiches, wafers, chewing gum, ice cream, bread, donuts, crackers and cookies. They come in shades of lime, pink, brown, orange, red and white that are symbolic of vanilla, strawberry, chocolate, raspberry, lime and orange.
Some items can be used in different ways. The Suf sandwich, for example, can be turned into a paperweight. A Suf cookie can be used as a coaster and a butter Suf can be transformed into a candy box.
"The products are made of MDF plywood and feature 15 designs. All items are inspired by sweets which can be found in a bakery," says director of international operations Nataya Itthiratanakomol. "Our concept is 'something more than frame'. We want our products to become a gift for any occasion and different from general picture frames."
Laem Chabang Industry also showcases the collections from three brands in international fairs like the Ambiente in Germany and Spring Fair in England.
The store also offers a wide range of classic and modern style picture frames featuring durable rubber-tree wood.
Suf Frame's collections can also be available at Tonrak Studio on Soi Thonglor and general department stores including Zen, CentralWorld, The Mall, Siam Paragon, The Emporium and Loft in Siam Discovery Centre.
