Man killed in a road accident on a Bangkok motorway

A man was killed on Thursday when his limousine he was driving crashed into a truck parked on an outbound motorway.

The accident at 2pm caused heavy traffic congestion on the road leading to Suvarnabhumi Airport for hours.

Suchart Doima, 40, was killed instantly on the scene of accident, reported the FM 91 radio station.

The radio reported that the accident also caused traffic jam from the outbound Srinakarin expressway to the outbound motorway near Piyavate Hospital, as well as the outbound Rama 9 Road to the Ramkhamhaeng intersection.

Officials later managed to clear the accident scene and thus the traffic has been almost back to normal.
