Learning English is very important for anyone wanting to get ahead in the business world today. English schools are flourishing all over. I met one gentleman recently who owns small computer software company - a very successful one. He complained that he was losing many potential contracts with multinational firms because of his lack of English.
So, what is the best way to learn to speak English with confidence? The same way you learned to speak Thai or your mother tongue. You didn't start by memorising grammar or learning how to write, did you? You started by imitating others (such as your parents).
That's why I love the method used at the Wall Street Institute. I've studied several languages using many different methods and I have never seen one that is more effective. The emphasis at Wall Street is on learning while having fun - not traditional at all. This is exactly how I learned to speak Thai more than 40 years ago. I lived in a remote Thai village for a few years and was the only farang around for miles. I didn't learn how to read or write Thai until after I had learned to speak it.
Your level of English will, in many ways, have a great impact on your future. A higher level of fluency in English will get you started with a better position and pay, and will also help you advance faster, assuming you are good at what you do. It will also open so many more doors internationally or right here at home.
My advice to the 15yearold student was learn as much as you possibly can and practice even more.
