Most of the cases involved sale of liquor, with 234 cases. Six people were charged in eight cases of vote-buying and 26 people were charged with destroying ballot papers.

There were 41 complaints of police not being neutral, allegedly by helping certain political parties to campaign. Twenty-four provincial Election Commission officials, 46 local leaders and three reporters were also accused of the same offence.

National police commissioner Lt-General Aswin Khwanmuang said 7,043 policemen monitored 6,323 polling booths across the capital.

Seven were charged with selling liquor, one for throwing a party, one for losing his ballot paper and one for destroying his ballot paper. Four were held for stealing campaign boards.
