11 companies voluntarily leave SET in 2007

Eleven companies sought voluntary delisting from the Stock Exchange of Thailand in 2008, the highest number in the past four years, according to the exchange's data.

Six companies have already left the exchange while the other five are in the preparation stage.

Altogether, their departure would reduce the Thai exchange's market capitalisation by Bt73.8 billion.

The data showed in 2003, four companies sought voluntary delisting, in 2004 four companies and in 2005 seven companies.
