Noppadon: People still loves Thaksin
Noppadon Pattama, deputy secretary-general of the People Power Party (PPP), said Sunday his party won the election because the people still had faith in former premier Thaksin Shinawatra.
He said the result reflected the public's sentiment that they rejected the coup of September 19, 2006, which ousted the elected government.
Moreover, the people believed PPP's policies were more convincing than of other parties, he added.
Surin Upatkoon, the main shareholder in the controversial Kularb Kaew Co, was yesterday charged with a criminal offence for alleged illegal representation of a foreign company under the Foreign Business Act 1999.
