PPP insists to form gov following a poll result

Surapong Suebwonglee, secretary-general of the People Power Party, said at 4.20 pm Sunday that his party would form a coalition government if its won about 256 of 480 MP seats as indicated by Suan Dusit Poll.

He said the PPP executives would have to meet to decide which parties they would invite to join in, he said.

He insisted PPP leader Samak Sundaravej would become the prime minister if the party leads the government, which should have support of more than 300 MPs.

Surapong denied that PPP has a closed-door negotiation with other parties except the Democrat Party.
