Organised by the hotel's managing director Boonthida Amatyakul, the highlight of the event was the introduction of six celebrities who, each taking on the role of bartender, introduced their own secret cocktail creations.
First out from behind the bar was Chayada Massayavanich who adores cooking, and mixing drinks. She created "Surrender", a mixture of berry wine and Smirnoff vodka. Next up was recently wed Wanaporn (Phumijitr) Posayanond who served her "Dolce Duang", a concoction of berry wine, ice cream and honey for the sweet of tooth.
Artist Masiri Tamsakul took a different tack with her "Mademoiselle", its Moet Champagne and pomegranate juice more likely to appeal to those with a taste for the high life. Then young lovers Supakit and Anoma Tangtatsawat launched their "Super Sweet Saturday", a heartfelt mix of Smirnoff vodka laced with fresh strawberries to symbolise the blooming of mutual love.
Last but not least was fashion designer Teerut Wongwattanasin who demonstrated his mixing mastery with "Moto", a tongue-slappingly sour cocktail consisting of white rum, pineapple juice, lemon juice and fresh mint. This was the drink for those who enjoy the bittersweet hit of brief romance. All the cocktails were duly added to the hotel's regular list.
Proceeds from the sale of drinks at the hotel during the month of December will be donated to the Foundation for Children with Heart Disease under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana.
