Worawit rules the roost in tenth leg

Worawit Chairat claimed top honours in the Nation's Hole-in-One tournament by winning the Flight A gross score title at the Muang Kaew Golf Club on Wednesday.

Published on December 21, 2007

The year-long event, organised by the Nation Multimedia Group, has grown in popularity during the past three years, with over 1,000 golfers - both expatriates and locals - pouring in to prove their mettle.

The tournament, on its fourth year, is held at Muang Kaew on Bang NaTrat Road on the third Wednesday of each month. The contest applies the stroke play format.

The champions of the three divisions from each qualifying event are eligible for The Nation's Swing Challenge at Chiang Mai Highlands Golf Course in February, where a Volkswagen Passat 2.3 V5 worth Bt1.59 million will be up for grabs.

This month marked the tenth leg and the next one presents golfers a last-gasp opportunity to participate in the country's one-of-its-kind tournament before the grand final.

The Nation Multimedia Group's customer service centre can be contacted on (02) 340 1575 for more details.
