THAI raises fuel surcharges

Thai Airways International has raised the fuel surcharges for domestic flights in order to partially compensate for higher fuel costs as implemented by other air carriers worldwide.

Pandit Chanapai, THAI's Executive Vice President for Commercial, said that the surcharges are raised due to the continual increase in fuel cost in the world market.

The adjustment will affect all classes of travel and those whose air tickets were issued by THAI's ticketing offices and sales representatives in Thailand and worldwide.

 Details are as follows:

-         All domestic flights within Thailand, for air tickets purchased or issued overseas, except Thailand, at US$20 per flight coupon (from previously US$10 per flight coupon), effective as of January 10, 2008 onwards.

-         All domestic flights within Thailand, for air tickets purchased or issued in Thailand, at Bt650 per flight coupon (from previously Bt400 per flight coupon), effective as of December 17, 2007 onwards.
