Sierra Projects, a residential developer, yesterday awarded a contract to Teka Construction to build a luxury resort condominium in Hua Hin mostly targeting foreign buyers.

The seven-floor condominium called SeaRidge will have only 56 units, with construction due for completion in 2009. Sierra Projects managing director Rose O'Hearn said SeaRidge was more than 50-per-cent sold, primarily to Scandinavians, British and other European clients "who prefer a special place to unwind and relax".

SeaRidge is located 10 minutes south of Hua Hin town centre and five minutes from the area's finest beaches, she said. "Offering the very best in modern tropical resort living, SeaRidge comprises 22 luxury villas, with home sites ranging from 400 to 1,000 square metres and 56 condominiums ranging from 112 to 465 square metres in living area.

"The condominiums come in three types offering two to three bedrooms each, designed to give the best views while capturing the cooling mountain and sea breezes.

"SeaRidge offers clients high-quality design and world-class standards with spacious rooms as well as superb club facilities and freeform pool, but it is very competitively priced, starting from Bt5.4 million to Bt8 million", said O'Hearn. In addition, SeaRidge offers a managed rental service.

O'Hearn said Hua Hin top-end property values had been appreciating for five years and buyers could look forward to continued strong capital appreciation as well as very attractive rental returns. She said SeaRidge condos would offer a return on investment of 7.7 to 10 per cent.

Sierra Projects is also developing Anansara Tropical Golf Villas resort, which is 10 minutes north of Hua Hin town centre and adjacent to one of the area's finest golf courses.

Pre-release prices start from Bt3.4 million. The company will launch presales of Anansara in the next two weeks.
