The Democrat poster says: "The wrong party vote adds salt to people's wounds. Credit card debts were overwhelming during the Thai Rak Thai government. Vote Democrat, solve the nation's crisis."
Democrat deputy secretary-general Korn Chatikavanij held a press conference yesterday on the campaign. He said PPP's posters distorted the facts by trying to imply that not voting for the PPP would make household debt increase.
Under the TRT government, household debt increased by more than 40 per cent during 2001-2005. Credit card debt increased by 430 per cent, from 2001-2006, he said.
