UEFA confirm Rijkaard and Wenger suspensions

Nyon, Switzerland (dpa) - Europe's governing football body UEFA on Tuesday confirmed that coaches Frank Rijkaard and Arsene Wenger had received suspensions.

The Dutchman Rijkaard, who coaches Barcelona, was suspended for two matches and will not be able to coach his side in their next game as he has already served a one-match suspension, while Wenger was suspended for one game, which he has already served.

Rijkaard was sent to the stands during Barcelona's 2-2 draw against Lyon in November, while Wenger was punished for his outburst at the fourth official during Arsenal's 3-1 defeat at Sevilla.

The first round of the knock-out stage of the lucrative Champions League will be drawn on Friday.
