The NAP contends that the EC exceeded its mandate in allowing voters to cast advance ballots without checking their conflicting schedule on Sunday, the Election Day.
Sumeth's colleague Prapun Naigowit said the provisions relating to the advance voting were designed to facilitate voters who would be absent form their constituency on the Election Day.
It was misleading to contend that the last week's voting was just for absentee voters who could not cast ballots in their hometown, he said.
He said he saw no justification why the NAP wanted to litigate on the issue.
