Abhisit warns of changes

The National Legislative Assembly (NLA) should stop passing controversial bills - especially the Internal Security Bill - Democrat Party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva said yesterday.

"My advice to the NLA is to take a break and wait for an elected House to do the job," Abhisit said during a question and answer session at the Foreign Correspondents Club of Thailand last night.

He said if the bill was passed and he was elected prime minister, he would amend four key points in the proposed law.
