The court yesterday accepted the libel lawsuit filed by the former director of National Park, Wildlife and Plant Conservation Department, Damrong Pidech, against Manager Media Group, owner of the well-known news website, www.manager.co.th, and Manager daily editor Khunthong Lorserivanich, as the first and second defendants.

The lawsuit stated the defendants had claimed Damrong, the department's director from October 2002 to October 2006, had been investigated forallegedly support the issuing of title deeds for land under the "Mae Salong Origin" project under Royal Patronage to investors.

Khunthong submitted a Bt600,000 land title deed as a deposit for bail.
