Gas and power fuel factor would see no effect from the requirement that PTT pays annual rents for the three pipelines that are to be transferred to the government, said Energy Minister Piyasvasti Amranand.

Piyasvasti said that PTT is in the position to shoulder the burden and this should not lead to negative impacts on fuel factors in the following 4-month period. The FT, imposed on top of base electricity cost, will depend on types of fuels used in power generating and the global prices of natural gas, he said.
