New business registration remains drop

Due to the economic slowdown, new registered business in the country has dropped consecutively by 12.73 per cent in the first 11 months this year, according to the Business Development Department reported on Tuesday.

New registered businesses were at 38,780 companies for the first 11 months, compared to 44,377 companies in the same period last year.

In November alone, 3,372 new companies have registered in the country, a drop by 5.78 per cent year on year.

The combined registered capital in November reached Bt9.04 billion.

Director-general Kanissorn Navanugraha said that new business registered showed a slower trend this year as result of the economic slowdown.
