Energy/Finance discuss PTT case today

Finance Minister Chalongphob Sussangkarn and Energy Minister Piyasvasti Amranand will discuss today to finalise the preliminary agreement on the split of natural gas pipelines from PTT Plc, following the Supreme Administrative Court's ruling last week.



Chalongphob said Monday that the the agreement would be submitted to the Cabinet for approval. Then, it would be announced to the public.

 He also noted that no other listed state enterprises experience a similar problems with PTT.

 It was expected that during their meeting today, Chalongphob and Piyasvasti would discuss the process in transferring natural gas pipelines and some assets of PTT to the Finance Ministry. Then, they would also discuss the rents that PTT must pay to the Finance Ministry for use of the pipelines.

 PTT President Prasert Bunsumpun is expected to join the discussion today afternoon.
