The secrets of silk

Jim Thompson Silk Farm now opens to public until January 6

You know Jim Thompson's silk. You might even be someone who purchases a silk shawl and wraps them around your neck, especially during cool season. If you want to see how silk is made, you can visit the Jim Thompson Silk Farm. The silk farm visit is an ideal venue for a family. Being sold are organic products, giant pumpkins, mushrooms, vegetables and flowers. Plus a showcase of silkworms and cocoons. The 240-acre Jim Thompson farm, in Nakhon Ratchasima's Pak Thong Chai district, is open to visitors from December 22 until January 6, except for Wednesdays and Thursdays. Price is Bt50 (Bt30 for kids).

For a map and directions on how to get to the farm, plus more information, visit JimThompsonFarm.com. Call (044) 373 116-7 or e-mail farm@jimthompsonfarm.com.
