Camping and bird watching

Grab a tent and drive to Boraphet Lake for bird watching

Grab a tent and drive to Boraphet Lake - the largest of its kind in Nakhon Sawan province. Between December and January, central province organises bird-watching and stargazing for the outdoor enthusiasts. Dominated by 56,000 acres of wetland and water, Boraphet Lake makes a safe home for thousands upon thousands of birds. Many of our feathered friends migrate from colder Europe to warmer Nakhon Sawan. Tents can be pitched at the Birds Reservation Office, and bird watching can be arranged by a local boater (Bt400/eight people). Astronomy fans can enjoy stargazing once night falls. Gear and guides are available on site.
