CEO Parin Chanun-Tranont said yesterday the company would install more screens in Big C Supercentre's 50 branches and hundreds of screens in 20 mostly public universities.
KTB Securities is the firm's financial adviser. The company plans to perform a stock market filing this month, issue an initial public offering before August and start trading a month later.
Absolute Impact was established three years ago and oversees in-store media in nine shopping complexes and department stores, including The Mall Group, MBK, Home Fresh Mart and Gourmet supermarkets.
Its in-store media feature 3D and 2D digital signage, End Cap TV (small TV screens installed at the end of supermarket aisles) and other forms of advertising throughout the malls.
Parin said in-store ad channels had a bright future because their proportion in the overall estimated Bt88-billion ad industry was still very low, while their growth rate has been very high during the past few years. The channels grew 188.7 per cent to Bt307 million in 2006 and have already grown 89.84 per cent in the first 11 months of this year to Bt521.54 million.
Next year, he estimates that in-store media will grow 60-70 per cent. Nevertheless, he foresees competition will become more intense as there will be newcomers in addition to the current four main players.
The company targets Bt139.7 million in revenue this year and expects income to grow to Bt270 million next year.
