EC decides on classified documents today

The Election Commission will today make a decision on the military's classified documents in connection to the allegation that the junta had planned to undermine the People Power Party in the election.

Election Commissioner Sodsri Sattayatham said each commissioner will write their personal verdict and the EC will issue a verdict depending on the majority  decision. "There is no guideline given. Each commissioners can freely make judgement,'' she said.

Defence Ministry permanent-secretary General Winai Phattiyakul said on Tuesday the military had given statements to the Election Commission that it had cancelled the classified documents after the Constitution organic law went into effect.
