Navy Commander-in-Chief Sathiraphan Keyanont told a press conference yesterday that the Supreme Command Headquarters, the Royal Thai Navy, the Yacht Racing Association of Thailand under the Patronage of HM the King, and the Khun Poom Foundation will host the event to celebrate HM the King's 80th birthday.

The event also aims to promote His Majesty's skills as a yachtsman, manifested in his gold medal winning sailing performance at the 4th Southeast Asian Peninsular Games on December 16, 1967. Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya, president of the Khun Poom Foundation, will preside over the launch.
